No. 02What you can make

Address ideas, site names and domain shapes

Type both first names and, if you like, a shared last name and the date. The page lists web address ideas such as the names joined with "and", with the year, or with the last name, and site names for the title at the top of the page, such as "The Wedding of Emma and Jake". Everything is made in your browser, so nothing you type leaves your device.

Every address idea follows the shape the wedding website builder accepts: 3 to 40 lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. On our builder a site lives at /w/ followed by that address; custom domains are not offered. A third list shows domain shapes for people who buy their own web domain from a registrar, with a warning that this page cannot tell whether any of them is taken.

No. 03How it works

From two names to an address you can type

  1. No. 01

Enter the names and the date

Both first names are needed. A shared surname and the date are optional, and each adds more ideas, such as the year after the names.

  2. No. 02

    Press Get address ideas

Three lists appear, each idea with its own Copy button. Accents are folded to plain letters and spaces and punctuation are dropped.

  3. No. 03

    Copy one into the builder

Open the builder, create your website and paste the part after /w/ into the address box. The builder tells you if the address is taken.

No. 04Around the address

Once you have an address

Put the address on a card with the QR code generator, which turns any link into a code for printed invitations. If you also want a nickname for the pair, the couple name generator blends your two names, and the hashtag generator makes tags for your photos.

For the guests who will use the site, the online RSVP tool collects replies, and the wedding invitation maker puts your link on a card.

No. 05Compare

Address ideas and their neighbors

The same names, used in other ways.

No. 06Tips

Choosing an address guests will remember

  1. No. 01

    Short beats clever

Guests type the address from a card. Fewer characters mean fewer mistakes.

  2. No. 02

    Hyphens help reading

emma-and-jake is easier to read aloud than a string of letters, but spoken addresses need the word "dash".

  3. No. 03

    Print it twice

Put the address as text and as a QR code on the invitation, in case one does not scan.

  4. No. 04

Keep the year if you may reuse names

A common pair of names may already be taken. Adding the year is the quickest way to find a free address.

Good questions

About the wedding website name generator.

Is the wedding website name generator free?

Yes. It runs in your browser, needs no account and has no daily limit. Using an address in our website builder needs a free account.

Is this a wedding URL generator?

It makes address ideas for a wedding website. They fit the rules of our website builder, where a site lives at /w/ followed by the address you choose. It does not register a domain for you.

Can it tell me if an address is taken?

No. This page cannot check availability, and neither can it check domains at a registrar. The builder checks whether an address on our site is free when you pick it.

Do you sell domain names?

No. Our builder uses an address on our own domain, and a custom domain is not offered. The domain-shaped ideas are only for people who buy a domain somewhere else.

What goes in the site name?

The site name is the title at the top of your page and in browser tabs, such as "The Wedding of Emma and Jake". The page lists a few ways to write it, with the date if you entered one.

Does it work for a marriage website too?

Yes. "Marriage" and "wedding" are used for the same thing in many places, and the ideas work either way. Pick the address you like and enter it in the builder.

Do you save what I type?

No. The ideas are made in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored.
