No. 02Tips

Putting the program together

  1. No. 01

    List the order, in order

Use the quick-add buttons for the usual sections, then reword them. Put the name of a reader or the title of a piece of music in the detail line.

  2. No. 02

    Choose one page or two

The 5 by 7 inch size puts everything on one page. The folded half-letter size gives you a cover and an inside page, which suits a longer ceremony and a bigger wedding party.

  3. No. 03

    Check the names

Read every name and role aloud against your own list before you print. A misspelled name on a program is the thing people notice.

  4. No. 04

    Print a proof first

Print one copy at the size you plan to use and read it at arm's length. Small text is the first thing to fail on paper.

What goes with a printed program

The order of the ceremony is easier to write once the words are done: the wedding ceremony script generator drafts them, and the wedding day timeline generator sets the hour each part begins. Music is on the wedding playlist generator.

Print the wedding menu maker cards in the same style, and match the paper to your wedding invitation maker design.

No. 05Questions

Good questions

About the wedding program maker.

Is the wedding program maker free?

Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up and puts no watermark on the files.

What can I put in the program?

A title, your names, the date and venue, up to 12 sections of the ceremony each with an optional detail line, a wedding party list with their roles (16 names at most), and a thank-you note.

What sizes can I download?

One page at 5 by 7 inches (1500 by 2100 pixels), or a folded half-letter program: two pages of 5.5 by 8.5 inches (1650 by 2550 pixels), the cover and the inside, saved as two PNG files. Both are at 300 pixels per inch.

How do I print and fold a half-letter program?

Print each PNG at 100 percent with no scaling. Each page is the size of half a US Letter sheet. The files are PNG images, not a PDF, and this tool does not arrange the two pages on one sheet for you, so for a folded booklet ask a print shop how they want the pages supplied.

What happens if I add too much?

The text shrinks to fit until it reaches its smallest readable size. If it still does not fit, the preview says so and highlights the part that is too long: shorten it, remove a section or choose the two-page size. The download stays off until it fits.

Can I change the section names?

Yes. Every section is plain text you can edit, so a program for a different kind of ceremony uses its own words. There are no fixed sections.

Are my names and details sent anywhere?

No. The program is drawn and turned into an image in your browser. Your text is saved on your device so it is there when you come back, and it never goes to us.

Can I use it with my invitation?

Yes. Choose the same style and colorway as your invitation, and use "Use my wedding details" to fill in the names, date and venue you saved on the My wedding page.
