No. 02What you can make
A table plan, a floor plan and a find-your-seat list
Add your guests, add your tables and seat each guest at one. People call the result a seating chart, a seating plan or a table plan; here it is one chart with two views. Table cards shows a card for each table with numbered seats, and Floor plan shows where the tables stand. Type a Chart name, such as your names, and it titles the printed chart and the PNG instead of the fixed words “Seating chart”.
The Floor plan is a simple grid of 10 by 8 spots with one table per spot. Round and long tables are drawn with their seats, and guest names appear under each table when they fit. It is not a drawing of your room to scale: there are no walls, dance floor or stage to place. Use it to see how many tables you have and roughly where they go.
Tables are added in one step. Set Seats and How many, and the maker creates the tables, names them Table 1, Table 2 and so on (or Name 1, Name 2 if you type a Name), and puts each on a free spot. You can then take your plan away in several forms:
- Print gives a list by table plus an alphabetical Find your seat list that guests can look themselves up in.
- Download PNG saves a picture of the Floor plan, cropped to the tables.
- Download CSV saves Guest, Table, Seat and Group columns for a spreadsheet, and Copy as text gives a plain list by table.
- Export file saves the whole chart as a backup, and Import file opens it again, on the same device or another.

Add your guests
Type a Guest name, add a Group if you like (for example Bride’s family), and press Add guest. To add many at once, open Paste a list of names and put one name on each line, up to 500 guests.

Add your tables
Choose a Table shape, Round or Long, then set Seats (2 to 20), How many and an optional Name, and press Add table. You can have up to 60 tables, and each can be renamed, resized or reshaped later.

Seat people
Tap a guest in the Not seated list, then tap a table or a seat. You can also pick the guest’s table from Choose a table and press Seat here. On a computer you can drag a guest onto a table or a seat.

Let it place the rest
Seat the rest for me fills the free seats and keeps each group together where it fits. It never moves anyone you have already seated.
No. 05
Check the Floor plan, then print or save
Switch to Floor plan and move a table by dragging it, or by tapping it and then an empty spot. When it looks right, use Print, Download PNG or Download CSV.

Where your chart lives, and what it is not
Your guest list stays in this browser and is never uploaded. It is saved there so the chart is still there when you come back, which also means a different browser or device starts empty. Use Export file first if you want to move it or keep a backup, and Reset clears everything.
This is a template tool, not AI, and there is nothing to sign up for. There is no app to install: it is a web page that works on a phone and a computer, and the chart lives in whichever browser you used.
It plans seats at tables, so it suits a reception or a dinner. It has no layout for ceremony seating in rows. Seat the rest for me is not random either: it follows fixed rules, so the same guests and tables always give the same seating.

Good questions
About the wedding seating chart maker.
Is the wedding seating plan maker free?
Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up, and works on your phone and on a computer. It is a template tool and does not use AI.
Is there a seating plan app, or does it work online?
It works online, in your browser, so there is nothing to install. The chart is saved in the browser you used, and Export file moves it to another device.
Is my guest list uploaded anywhere?
No. The names you enter stay in this browser and are never uploaded. They are saved here so your chart is still there when you come back, and Reset clears them.
How do I seat someone without dragging?
Tap a guest in the list, then tap a table or a seat. You can also choose a table from the list under the guest. Dragging is only an extra option on a computer.
What does Seat the rest for me do?
It fills the free seats with the guests who have no seat yet, keeping each group together at one table where it fits. It never moves anyone you have already placed, and it gives the same answer every time rather than a random one.
How many guests and tables can I add?
Up to 500 guests and 60 tables. A table seats 2 to 20 guests and can be round or long.
Can it make a floor plan of my venue?
Partly. It places your tables on a grid of 10 by 8 spots, so you can see how many there are and roughly where they go. It does not draw walls, a dance floor or a stage, and it is not to scale.
What can I print or download?
Print gives a list by table plus an alphabetical find-your-seat list. You can also copy the plan as text, download a CSV for a spreadsheet, or download a PNG of the tables. A Chart name titles the printed chart and the PNG.
How do I move the chart to another device?
Use Export file, then open the same page on the other device and use Import file. The file holds your chart, and nothing is sent anywhere.
