No. 02What you can make

A card you can send the same day

Type your names, the date and the city, and the maker sets them on a finished card. You download it as a PNG, so it works as a digital announcement to text, email or post, and as a 5×7 file to print for a fridge magnet or an envelope. There is no account and no watermark.

The sizes are Post 4:5 (1080 × 1350 px), Square 1:1 (1080 × 1080 px), Story 9:16 (1080 × 1920 px) and 5×7 print size (1500 × 2100 px, which is 5×7 inches at 300 pixels per inch). The card is re-arranged for each one, never stretched.

Want motion? The Make this a video link under the preview opens the save the date video maker in the same style. You can also use Download a 3-slide carousel for Instagram: a cover, a details slide and an RSVP slide, each in the same portrait shape.

Layouts, styles and photos

Classic has eight layouts: Bold names, Modern, Script, Snapshot, Photo on top, Scalloped, Monogram and Arch photo, each in six color schemes. Seven styles add more, each in three colorways. Garden Watercolor, Modern Minimal, Art Deco Gold, Hand-Drawn, Dark Botanical and Coastal have four or five layouts apiece. Editorial has seven, including a Magazine cover, a Newspaper front page and a Photo strip.

Photos stay on your device: they are resized in your browser and never uploaded. Some layouts take more than one picture. The Newspaper front page uses two and the Photo strip uses four, and with fewer pictures the same one is used again with a different crop. iPhone HEIC files are refused, so share the photo as a JPEG first.

To use your wedding colors in a Classic layout, paste a palette from the wedding color palette generator into the Use a palette field. Styles come with their own colorways.

No. 05Website and sharing

Pointing guests to a website, and sending the card

The Website field takes a link that starts with https://. With Show a QR code for this link on, the card carries a QR code and the site name under it. Switch it off and the card prints a short Details at line instead. Anything else you type there, such as a hashtag from the wedding hashtag generator, is shown as plain words.

After you download, a Share panel appears under the button. It says which saved size suits where: the 4:5 post for text messages, WhatsApp chats and email, the 9:16 story size for WhatsApp Status and Instagram Stories, the 1:1 square for feed posts and the 5×7 size for printing. It also offers a short message with your names, date and place to copy, and an Add an RSVP link or QR code link to the online RSVP tool. Nothing is sent by the page: you share the saved file from your own device.

No. 07Tips

Making a card guests keep

  1. No. 01

    Keep it to the essentials

Names, the date and the city are enough. A line that says an invitation will follow tells guests more is coming.

  2. No. 02

Let a photo carry the card

Choose a layout marked with a photo frame, add a favorite picture and drag it until the faces sit nicely in the frame.

  3. No. 03

    Say where to look next

If your wedding website is ready, paste its link. Guests who scan the code land exactly where you point them.
