No. 02What you can make

A photo slideshow with a title card and an end card

Add three to twelve photos and the maker builds a video in your browser: a title card, each photo for three seconds with a slow zoom or drift, and an end card with your names and date. The length follows the number of photos, so three photos make a short video and twelve make the longest one, about three-quarters of a minute. The line under the preview shows the exact seconds.

Each photo can have a caption of up to 60 characters, which sits on a band at the bottom of the picture. Choose Vertical 9:16 (720 × 1280) for phones, or Wide 16:9 (1280 × 720) for a TV or projector. Full HD versions appear in the Size list when your browser can make them.

There are six templates and seven style packs. The title card takes a Title, First name, Second name and an optional Date, and the wording ideas Our story, Engagement, Wedding day and Years together fill in the title for you.

No. 04Good to know

Music, apps and what this maker is not

People often search for a slideshow with music. This one is silent: there is no music library and no sound track in the file. Play your own music from another device at the venue, or add a song you may use in your phone’s video editor.

It runs in your browser, so there is no program or app to install. It is a template slideshow, not AI and not a full video editor: you cannot trim a photo, change how long each stays on screen or add effects. Photos stay on your device and are never uploaded. For still pictures rather than a video, try the wedding album maker.

Slideshow, invitation video or card?

Use the slideshow for pictures and the others for announcements.

No. 06Tips

Making a slideshow people watch to the end

  1. No. 01

    Choose fewer, better photos

Each photo is on screen for three seconds, so a dozen is already the longest video the tool makes. Keep the ones that tell the story.

  2. No. 02

    Keep captions short

A place or a year is plenty. If a caption is too long it is highlighted and the export waits.

  3. No. 03

    Post it with a hashtag

If guests will share their own pictures, make a shared tag with the [wedding hashtag generator](/wedding-hashtag-generator) and mention it in the caption of your post.

No. 08Questions

Good questions

About the wedding slideshow maker.

Is the wedding slideshow maker really free?

Yes. It is free, adds no watermark and needs no account or sign-up. The video is made on your own device, so nothing is queued or charged.

Is there an app, or does it work online?

It works online, on this page, on a computer or a phone. There is nothing to install. Your text and choices are remembered on this device, never the photos.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Photos and captions are handled in your browser and never leave your device, and the video is built there as well.

Why is there no music?

Not here. The file has no sound track and there is no music library. Play your own music alongside it, or add a song you may use in your phone’s video editor.

Which phones and browsers can export the video?

Browsers that can encode video, such as current Chrome and Edge, save an MP4 directly. Others may record it in real time and save an MP4 or WebM file, and the page says which before you start. We have not yet tested Safari, Firefox or iPhones.

How many photos can I use?

At least three and at most twelve. Each is on screen for three seconds and can have a caption of up to 60 characters.

What size is the file?

It depends on the size you choose and the number of photos, and the page shows the exact size when the video is done. The standard sizes are 720 × 1280 (vertical) and 1280 × 720 (wide); Full HD appears when your browser can make it.

Can I show it at the reception?

Yes. Choose the Wide 16:9 size and play the saved file on a laptop connected to a screen or projector. The video is silent, so you control the music.

Is this AI video?

No. It is a template slideshow made from your photos and text, with slow pans, zooms and transitions. Nothing is generated and nobody in your photos is made to move.

Can I use it for an engagement or anniversary video?

Yes. Change the Title, or tap Engagement or Years together. The look is a wedding-style template, and there are no templates made only for anniversaries.
